Very disappointing.
After sitting for another 15 minutes, still with no drinks - we finally left.
it's the nicest bar and restaurant I have been in in a while!, very nice staff, and great entertainment, band's and karoke on Thursday nights! i love this place. its on the lake and very nice scenery.
Do not stay here! Awful experience. Room was not as promised and I paid extra for the "deluxe" room. No housekeeping, dryer, iron, etc. TV did not work. Only 2 king beds in the whole place. Heard the drunk band screaming and hitting walls from 12:30 am - 1:30 am. Restaurant was terrible. For dinner - waited an hour and didn't get the food we ordered. Waitress said "Oh well that's how it came out of the kitchen". Tried again for breakfast and couldn't get anyone to take our order. Service was awful.
We evacuated Florida during hurricane Irma. Luckily we got out early enough that traffic was not an issue. My mother and I stayed with a relative close by. My sister notified us on Friday that her and her family were going to drive up as well. So we booked her a room here for Saturday so they would have somewhere to go. Traffic was gridlocked getting out of Florida and they got stuck on the highway and were not able to get out. When we called to cancel the room they told us it was non refundable and we were charged anyway despite the circumstances. I was SHOCKED. It's like raising gas prices during a crisis. Taking advantage of people during time like these is repulsive behavior. I understand they have policies, but a little human decency and understanding during a state of emergency would have been nice!
The staff and service was very good. Rooms were nice and nice view of the lake from the patio of our room.
After sitting for 15 minutes (unattended), we finally got menus and drink order was taken - nothing difficult (1 water, 2 teas).
Giving one star because I can't give ZERO!
After checking in to Lakeshore Inn, we decided to try dinner in the restaurant overlooking the lake. We found a table and seated ourselves. Two waitresses stared at us from behind the bar, but never made any effort to wait on us. So, we decided to try the other dining room.
